Preceded in death by his spouse, Linda Guerry Ortiz, his parents, Ismael and Minita Ortiz and his siblings, Ismael Ortiz II, Orlando Ortiz and Norma I. Ortiz. Father of Laura Ortiz and Robert Ortiz. Dear brother of Angela (Aguedo), George, Edgardo, Carlos (Lynn), Erico, Rosemarie (Heriberto), Dantes (Keith), and Martha (Enoel). Further loved by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1927 North Vel Phillips Avenue Milwaukee, WI 53212 on Monday, November 6, 2023, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. Catholic Mass 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. Burial/Committal service with Military Honors will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery 21731 Spring St. Union Grove, WI 53182 at 2:00 PM

William, whom was affectionately referred to as “Bacardi Willie”, enjoyed playing Mexican Dominoes, visiting the casinos with his late wife Linda, and singing to the Oldies. His smile was contagious. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

A special thank you to the staff and physicians at the Zablocki VA medical center, especially to the staff in the Community House Bldg. 148 (the Green House). The attention and care was exceptional and we are forever grateful.
