Theresa Frances (nee Parafiniuk) Wojtanowski “Teri”

Theresa F. Wojtanowski, age 90, of Milwaukee, passed away on Thursday February 15, 2024 at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee.

She was born on February 7, 1934 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin to the late Stanley and Sophie (nee Libecki) Parafiniuk. Teri graduated from Pewaukee High School. She married the love of her life, the late Richard “Dick” J. Wojtanowski on July 29, 1961. They purchased a home on the northwest side of Milwaukee where they raised their son, the late Richard G `Wojtanowski, and lived until they moved to a retirement/assisted living community in 2019. Dick and Teri were devoted to each other and did everything together. They never spent a night apart until they were forced to, due to health reasons, later in life.

Teri was employed by The Wisconsin Gas Company retiring after forty years. She enjoyed more than thirty years of retirement. Teri and Dick were proud members of the Coca-Cola Collectors Club for thirty years and they enjoyed traveling to various locations for conventions. They enjoyed collecting the memorabilia, but mostly the friends they made along the way. While Teri enjoyed all of the adventures she and Dick shared, she also was a quiet and private person who enjoyed her one day a week to herself when Dick golfed and played cards. She called it her “Me” day. Daily Mass was part of Teri’s retirement life, along with Dick, and while they enjoyed participating in the Mass, they also enjoyed visiting with fellow worshippers afterwards. Later, when at the assisted living facility, they looked forward to checking the mail and greatly enjoyed when they would find cards, care packages or little gifts from friends and family.

Teri is survived by sisters-in-law Angeline Mikolajczyk and Susan (Terrence) Boyle, and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, brothers Edmund (Therese), Irvin (Helen), and Stanley (Mayme) Parafiniuk, parents-in-law Joseph and Stefania (nee Granatowski) Wojtanowski, and siblings-in-law Raymond Mikolajczyk and Norbert (Helen) Wojtanowski.
