Our beloved mother, Susan Lani Potter (nee McKenzie) was called home to our Lord on November 3, 2017, age 77. Born to Claude and Marjorie McKenzie on August 20th, 1940, Susan was the youngest of 7 girls.

Susan is preceded in death by her husbands, Dale LeRoy and Donald Potter, her sisters, Joan Burzynski, Carol Rappa, Phyllis Allen, Beverly Martens and Nancy Jaeger, and  her best friend and niece, Diana Prince. Loving mother of  Elisabeth (Rick) Smul, Margery (Kip) Rohde, Karen LeRoy and Mary Lee Potter. Proud Grandma of Dale Wright, Emily Wright (Roger Eberhardy), Susannah LeRoy, Samantha Rohde, Sarah Smul, Danielle Rohde, Erin LeRoy, Joseph Smul and Tyler Stoltz; and special Gigi of Abigail Owens, Dominik Wright, Damian Sharpless, Aiden Eberhardy, Alexander Eberhardy and Austin Leroy.  Cherished sister of Georgia Kay Sili. Further loved by many nieces, nephews and special friends.

During her life, Susan enjoyed many different hobbies including Girl Scouts, photography, playing the piano, reading and singing. Everyone who knew Susan knew that she loved to sing! One of Susan’s great passions was watching the Eagle Cam live stream from Florida. Since it’s beginning, six seasons ago, Susan took joy in the day to day activities of these majestic birds. As the season approaches for new eggs to be hatched, we will be blessed to observe this gift from God ourselves.

Being a devout Christian, Susan was always there to help people grow in their love of God. She devoted her Facebook page to Christian inspiration and had many, many followers that enjoyed her daily praises to the Lord.

The thing Susan enjoyed most in life was just spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. This brought her the deepest happiness and fulfillment.

Sometimes we all fall short and Susan knew that she did as often as the rest of us. What her heart wanted most of all, though, is for all of us to “be kind.” In memory of Susan, please, “BE KIND” to everyone you meet today.
