Sandra “Sandy” Lomblo-Faust was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She fought for every moment of happiness in her life, and was finally able to rest on January 18th, 2022 – just after her 70th birthday.  She had many health burdens, and passed away from COVID complications close to her home in Milwaukee, under hospital care, with her daughter by her side.

Sandy was born to Clarence and June Faust on January 5th, 1952.  She spent her childhood in Kiel, Wisconsin, where she attended school and met her first husband.  As a young wife and mother, she and her husband owned a bar and played music together along with their band.  Later in life, she held many jobs, and learned many new skills, but was partial to office work.

When she was able to, Sandy had a great passion for singing and dancing, and when she could no longer participate, she enjoyed experiencing that happiness through her children and her friends.  She loved to create, and in retirement, even had a small home business where she sold her knitted and crocheted items.  Anyone who’d been to her home (or taken a peek at her wardrobe) knows she was partial to owls and a HUGE fan of The Milwaukee Brewers – both things that will remind her loved ones of her for years to come.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Melanie Lomblo, her son Cary Matzen (AJ Matzen), her grandson Alex Matzen, her granddaughter Misty Godersky (nee, Matzen) and husband James Godersky, as well as two great-granddaughters, Khloe Godersky, and Aurora Godersky.

In her final wishes, Sandy expressed that she did not want to have a formal funeral or burial.  She cherished spending time with her loved ones while she was alive, and hoped everyone would remember and celebrate her in their own ways going forward.  Sandy will be cremated and planted in a tree at a location to be chosen by her daughter in the spring time.

Sandy was so lucky to have so many wonderful and giving people in her life, so many of whom have already expressed their interest and desire to help, and every little bit makes such a difference.  Memorials to the family are greatly appreciated, and can be arranged through her daughter, Melanie.  Please send any cards and physical donations to:
