Found everlasting peace and freedom from mental illness on Friday, August 16, 2019, age 66. Martin fought mental illness for most of his life. Dear son of Truman and the late Betty (nee Scheff). Loving brother of Steve (Barb), Dean and Carol. Special step-brother of Chris, Kathy, Bill and Don. Further loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins living in Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Dakota, where he spent many summers as a boy.
Inurnment at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery where he will be placed with his mother.
Marty was a good man with a wonderful sense of humor. He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School. He retired from A.O. Smith after 20 years and lived in assisted livings and group homes for most of his adult life.
Many thanks to Community Care, Froedtert Hospital and Horizon Hospice for the care and comfort they provided for Martin and his family.

We are sad for your loss of Marty. I have lots of fun, summertime of Marty and all of you staying with us. I am sure I was the annoying little cousin always asking questions about his dates with “Pauline”. So thankful for those times! I remember you coming off the train late at night in Milbank. I was so excited to see you and maybe Dean, Carol or/and Steve with you. I was just a small little girl. You would stay with us. I loved those summer days! You were always kind with a big heart. Remembering those fire crackers you would shoot off at grandma and grandpa's house on the 4th of July. What fun! I love you cousin Marty. You will always be in my heart.
