BROOKFIELD – (nee Kozicki) Lori, age 87, died peacefully at home while surrounded by family on Ascension Sunday, May 21, 2023. Loving wife of 60 years to the late Bill. Beloved moomah and keen nerf gun battler / balloon bopper to cherished grandson Sam. Further loved by daughter Jen (Scott) Norris, sister Virginia Jolivette, and so many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Dear friend of members of the Mountain Drive Gang, Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity Family, Westmoor Country Club, Marking Device Association, Mount Mary and Cardinal Stritch cohorts, and others. Preceded in death by son Christopher, and siblings Sylvester, Margaret, and Stanley. She was nourished by her Catholic faith in life, and especially so in this last year.
Lori was an avid learner, beginning her schooling in hometown of Pulaski, Wisconsin. She planned to attend nursing school, but realized she didn’t like blood or needles, and changed that goal much to the disappointment of her high school friend who was to join her. She moved to the big city of Milwaukee to attend Wisconsin State College in 1954 as a music student studying oboe. Later in life, she went back to college earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from Mount Mary (then College) University in 1999, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch in 2001. Follow your dreams, it’s never too late!!
