John “Jack” Roles

Jack was called home to heaven on August 19, 2020, at the age of 92.  He was born on June 20, 1928, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a young boy where he lived all his life.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949 and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1952.  He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves in 1957.  Jack was hired as a machinist at Master Lock in 1958 where he worked until he retired in 1993.

In 1960 Jack married his beloved wife, Carmen, who preceded him in death last September.  After 59 years of marriage, Jack would tell how he met Carmen like it happened yesterday, a sweet story that never got old!

Jack will always be remembered for his servant’s heart and generous spirit.  He and his wife were always helping someone in need and “adopted” many sons and daughters and grandchildren throughout their life.  But most important, is that Jack recognized his need for forgiveness and trusted in Jesus for his salvation.  Knowing he is now with his Savior is his greatest gift to all those he leaves behind.

And all who trust Jesus, God’s Son, to save them have eternal life. John 3:36

Jack is survived by dear family and friends whose lives were impacted by his kindness and friendship.  Our sincere appreciation to Allay Home and Hospice and Legacy Assisted Living for their attentive care.
