Born to Eternal Life May 24, 2018, age 65. Beloved husband of the late Roseanne V. (Nee Zylka) for 32 years.  Dear father of Karie and Amy Groff.  Loving grandfather of Elizabeth Margaret, Alexis Rose, and Julia Ann. Dear son of Arlene Gertrude (Nee Spaniol) and the late Lawrence John Groff. Brother of Mary (Glen) Meissner. Son-in-law of the late George and Margaret Zylka. Brother-in-law of Thomas (Colleen) Zylka. Uncle of Sally and Matthew Meissner. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

In his younger days, Jerome loved  playing tennis and basketball and taking his family fishing and camping. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.  He enjoyed going out to eat at a variety of places with his mother. Jerry had fun playing Sheepshead, Canasta, Dominos, and a wide variety of Poker games for cash with family and friends.  Always a joker, he had a cheery disposition with everyone. He helped people even if he had to go out of his way.   Family and friends, especially his three beautiful granddaughters will miss him GREATLY.

Visitation at Blessed Savior Catholic Church, 8545 West Villard Avenue, Milwaukee on Monday June 4, 2018, 10:00-11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.

My cousin Jerome was a very kind-hearted affectionate cousin to me. He will be missed. His weekly or bi-weekly calls asking how I was and how Aunt Elvira was, will be missed. I am glad we had the opportunity to celebrate his birthday in March, the last time I saw him, to let him know he was loved.

Jerome was a great brother. I looked up to him and tagged along whenever I could. He loved to play tennis when we were kids, so of course I did too. I never could win a game from him. We played canasta and rummy royal, and various other games, and sometimes I won. My dad made us these wooden forts for his army men and we would play for hours. When Glen and I moved to Colorado he and Roseanne visited us in Colorado Springs and then later he traveled to Pueblo two times. He met many of our friends on these visits and he would ask about different ones from time to time. One of my past coworkers told me that she thought she knew my brother because I talked about him so much. On the birthday card he sent me this past March he wrote "Hugs and Kisses Forever". Though we were separated by many miles he was always on my mind. He will forever be in my heart. Rest in peace dear Jerome. Love you! Your favorite sister, Mary
