Herb I. Reimers, 70, passed away peacefully February 6, 2022, at a Wisconsin hospital. He was born January 03, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Adolf Theodore Reimers and Lois Virginia Reimers.

Herb attended Washington High School. In his mid-20’s, he married Nesie Mae Hodges in March of 1978; they separated in the late 80’s. but not before they brought two beautiful daughters into the world. Much later in life, he met his soulmate, Jeremy W. Stoub, and they lived happily together for almost 4 years.

Herb enjoyed the outdoors, including working in his yard and caring for the various animals he had over the years. He was an animal lover who was especially passionate about horses. When he wasn’t outdoors, he was surely calling his family members to check on them and he was always figuring out ways to live healthier and stay active. He was also a very active and involved dad, uncle, and grandpa which filled his days with things to do and people to help. He made a “mean” pot of chicken noodles and his cinnamon rolls were mouthwatering.

Herb never met a stranger and gave every person the benefit of the doubt. His bittersweet childhood caused him a lifetime of pain and emotional struggle, and because of this his loving heart developed the capacity to feel compassion and empathy towards others.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Baby Charles Reimers, Lee Reimers, and Don Reimers; brother-in-law, Stanley “Rick” Billups; and nephew, Danny Jackson. Surviving in addition to his spouse, Jeremy Stoub, are his daughters, Lorraine V. Reimers and Elaine E. Reimers; four grandchildren, Raul A. Flores, Nicolas “Nicky” O. Flores, Julia I. Flores, and Juan “Miguel” Flores; sisters, Sharon K. Luckner and Karen G. Reimers; brother, Roy “Sonny” A. Reimers; and many nieces and nephews.
