Widower (*Theodore “Jack” Higgins, *Archie Morris, Sr.), Parents (*Taylor & *Alice Fredonia Ross), Siblings (*Leonard Castil, *James Ross, *Alvin Ross, *Joshua Ross, *Irene Ross-DeJear), Children & Grandchildren (*Archie Morris Jr. [Denise, Shawn, Marie, Stephanie], *Donald Morris [LaDonnia, Tracy], Larry Morris [*Michael], Sara Morris [Cardale, Damon], *Brion Morris [Tori], Edwin Morris [LaShonda, Krystal], Jimmy Morris [Nicole, Jimmy Jr.], Doris Jackson [Eric], Yvonne Griffin [Darryl], Karen Holland [Anthony, Kyle, Ashley] and a host of great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of her “spiritual brothers, sisters and children” in the Pleasant Valley congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Milwaukee, WI, who were as close to her as “blood” relatives as well as her dear friends in congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses in AZ, CA, CT, DC, GA, IL, LA, OK, NY, NC, NV, SC,TX, VA, Puerto Rico, and Africa (Congo and CAR).

History

Helen enjoyed growing up in a country setting in Oklahoma; playing and working with her younger sister Irene.  She began her search for God in the Muskogee, Oklahoma Baptist Church.  As an adult, she was visited by Georgia Holmes, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses who offered her the opportunity to take an in-depth study of the Bible.  Doing so helped Helen to learn who God really is and develop a personal relationship with him.  This home Bible study led her to dedicate her life to Jehovah God on November 21, 1957 in Zion Illinois.  She then began a six decade long community service by visiting her neighbors in their homes, offering them the same opportunity that she received.
