Dallas Lee Bohanon left her earthly home to walk with the Lord on June 26, 2021. She was the loving mother of one child, Myrtis M. Jones (Cornell-deceased).
Dallas was born to the late Florence Everett and the late John Woods on May 17, 1922, in Oakland, Louisiana. She received her early education from the Union Parish School District and her Christian education began at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
She moved to Crossett, Arkansas in 1941 before moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1951. In Milwaukee, she became a member of the Daughters of Ruth Court Lodge #1 Heroine of Jericho and Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.
Dallas was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie C. Bohanon on January 4, 1969. She held the position as an executive chef in Milwaukee and retired from US Bank in 1984.
She enjoyed being with family and friends as a cook and personal advisor. Her greatest joy was being a storyteller to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter Myrtis, her three grandchildren Belinda (Brett) McSparron; Derrick Jones; Corey Jones and special daughter Erma Slade; five great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
