It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Zachary “Z” Burns Miller on Tuesday, June 18th 2024. He was 28 years old. A loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. His sudden departure has left an indelible void in our lives.

Zachary was born on April 12, 1996 son of Brian Burns Miller and Joy Ann Spaeth †. He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended St. Sebastian Grade School and graduated from West Allis Central High School, Class of 2014. Every smile and every precious time he shared with his children, Noah “Lil Dude” and James “JB” was testimony to his love for them. He wanted to be an inspiration in their lives and valued their presence. He made sure every moment with Noah and James was full of love and significance by prioritizing quality time with them, whether it was through activities they enjoyed or just being there. His dedication to parenthood extended beyond his physical presence; he made an emotional investment that produced priceless memories and a relationship that would always be treasured. Zach expressed a strong desire to always do better for his kids, working tirelessly to support his boys physically and emotionally.

Having a strong passion for cooking, he started his work in high school at Maggiano’s Little Italy. Afterward, he sharpened his skills at Saz’s before joining Heritage Assisted Living in Muskego where he continued to thrive as assistant chef. While he loved serving other people, he would especially love requesting his favorite tacos on occasion from family, especially chorizo and steak!

He is survived by his loving children, Noah and James, and their mother, Sierra. Before their paths diverged, they were blessed with two children. He also leaves behind his strong and supportive single father, Brian Burns Miller and his siblings: Brenda (Abelardo) Fonseca nee Cuellar, Joseph Miller and Chris Noonan. Brian played an essential role in shaping his character and providing unwavering love and guidance. Joseph was not only his brother but also his best friend, sharing countless memories and adventures together. Chris, who was like a second brother, brought laughter and companionship into his younger years of life. Brenda played a pivotal role as his sister, providing maternal guidance and unconditional love. He cherished his nephews, Dante, Giovanni (his mini me), and Emani. Being close in age, they shared a unique camaraderie that mirrored the sibling bond. Together, they navigated life’s joys and challenges, forming memories that will forever be cherished. Alongside his siblings, Zach shared a relationship with many aunts and uncles: Michael, Cheryl, Tammy, Mark †, Gail, Paul along with many cousins. He especially shared a special bond with Auntie Beth, Uncle Pat and Uncle Dennis Noonan, who offered unwavering support throughout his life. In remembrance, we honor his beloved grandparents, Jack † and Audrey Miller †, and grandma Irmgard Spaeth nee Bopp †, with whom he shared deep and nurturing bonds, now reunited in peace.

While his untimely passing has left us with profound grief, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind. We acknowledge the complexities of his struggle and the pain he carried, and we hold him in our hearts with compassion and understanding.

In his memory, let us cherish the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the lessons he taught. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest peacefully, dear Zach, knowing you are forever loved and deeply missed.
