Ventley Roy Williams was born on July 18, 1947, to Pearl Rowe and Alberto Williams in Red Bank, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

He was the eldest of three children and attended Red Bank All-Age School while living with his grandparents. He later attended Cobla Youth Trade Camp in Manchester, Jamaica, where he graduated as an electrician. Following graduation, he worked for Alpart Aluminum Company for a short period before relocating to Kingston, where he spent ten years as a salesman with Sterling Drugs Pharmaceutical Company.

In 1979, Ventley migrated to the United States. While attending MATC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he worked as a cab driver for Brew City Wisconsin. He later began his career with Milwaukee County Transit, where he faithfully served for twenty-five years until his retirement.

Ventley valued education deeply and consistently encouraged his family to pursue higher education and personal growth. He was an executive member of the Jamaican Cricket Club and enjoyed playing dominoes with friends and family. An avid sports fan, he also followed politics closely and loved a great, thoughtful debate. He was also a devoted supporter of Bethel Tabernacle COGIC and remained actively involved in the Jamaican community throughout his life.

Ventley leaves to cherish his loving memory: his son, Michael Williams; his grandsons, Matthew Williams and Michael Williams Jr.; his sister, Millie; three nephews; one aunt; four uncles; seven grand-nephews; one grand-niece; and a host of cherished relatives and dear friends.

Though he has departed this earthly life, his legacy of perseverance,

dedication, and love will continue to live on in the hearts

of all who knew and loved him.
