Tamirat Tadesse was born on August 21, 1966, in Arsi, Ethiopia, to his loving parents, Tishager Belay and Tadesse Kassa. He was the youngest of ten siblings and grew up surrounded by the love and strong family bonds that remained an important part of his life.

 

After completing his secondary education, Tamirat studied Accounting at Addis Ababa University. He worked briefly in Ethiopia before moving to the United States in 1987 to pursue new opportunities and build his future.

 

In the United States, Tamirat continued his education and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. He went on to build a successful career as a database engineer, working for several organizations and earning the respect of his colleagues through his intelligence, dedication, and reliability.

 

In 2015, Tamirat moved to Washington, DC, where he continued to build his life and remain close to family, friends, and his community.

 

Tamirat had a deep love for God and was devoted to serving Him and the church. His faith was an important part of his life. He played a major role in the Amanuel Ethiopian Evangelical Church Media Center, generously giving his time, knowledge, and technical skills to support the church and its ministry. His service reflected his faith and his desire to help others.

 

Above all, Tamirat will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, relative, and friend. He was a kind, generous, and caring person who touched the lives of many. His journey from Ethiopia to the United States reflected his courage, perseverance, and determination.

 

Although his life was far too short, the love he shared and the impact he made will remain with those who knew him. His memory will live on through his children, family, friends, church community, and all those whose lives he touched.

 

May God grant him eternal rest, and may his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.

 

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
