The life and legacy of Tamara Lynn Edwards. March 11, 1953, to May 23, 2026
Tamara Lynn Edwards was born on March 11, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Charles and Wilma Graves. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Tamara worked at National Covalence Nursing Home, Northwest General Hospital, General Electric, JCPenney, Dr. Horwitz’s office at Saint Joseph Hospital, and Froedtert Hospital.
Tamara married Maurice Edwards on March 23, 1973, and together they raised four children.
Tamara loved shopping and cherished the tradition of shopping every Saturday with her mother, Wilma, and her grandmother, Jannie. That tradition continued throughout her life with her sisters, daughters, and close friends.
Tamara enjoyed attending church on Sundays and participating in many other church programs and events. She always put others before herself and was known as a prophetic woman of God. Tamara faithfully prayed for her family, friends, and even strangers. She was a woman of great wisdom who shared encouragement and guidance with everyone around her.
Tamara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jannie Foster, and her parents, Charles Cecil Graves and Wilma “Tiny” Graves.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Maurice Edwards; her children, Chandra and Thomas Fojut, Demario and Annamarie Edwards, Zipporah and Vanna Edwards; her grandchildren, Jaymin, Jamon, Daniella, McKenzie, and Serenity; her siblings, Stephanie Barr, Ronda Graves, Daron and Dana Graves; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A special thank you to Living Word Apostolic Church for all your love, prayers, support, and the many acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.

Visitation will be held at Living Word Apostolic Church, 21401 West National Avenue, in New Berlin, Wisconsin on Friday, June 5th, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Followed by a burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
