February 9, 2018 Heaven received the most loving amazing man. We will so deeply miss him and were so lucky to have been gifted with him in our lives. He blessed this world and everyone he met loved him. But he’s with his Rosie again and we couldn’t ask for a sweeter ending than that!!
Most of you know him as Sy. If you know him as a kid you’d know him as Pete (Popsicle Pete) cuz he loved his popsicles.
Sweetheart to his Rosie (Rosemary Rossa). Loving and supporting dad to Andy and Cyndie. Very proud grandpa to Jesse. Best friend of Lee (Joan). These are his greatest titles.
Dad was a meat cutter by trade and his first retirement in March of 2003 was from Strauss Veal in Franklin Wisconsin.
But retirement wasn’t for him and in May of 2003 he decided to go back to work in the field he loved at Albrecht’s Delafield Market as a Floral Designer. He loved flowers and designing and taking care of people. When he needed to slow down his pace he moved to the position as “Sy the Demo Guy”. His love of food and sharing his knowledge with the customer, who many became his friends, gave him great joy. His second retirement from Albrecht’s in 2017 was a sad occasion for the customers, co-workers as well as the owners of the company who had all grown to love him very much.

Your Dad was a very hardworking passionate man who gave so much to our company. I'm grateful I had the pleasure of working with him and getting to know him over the years. He had called me and my brother when he knew his illness got the best of him. He said it was time to be with your Mom. I know he will be forever remembered and greatly missed. I'm thinking of you and your family with a heavy heart. Timmy Strauss
