Shirley Alice Schroeder

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 surrounded by close friends at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, age 90. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Lydia (Bruss) and Albert, her brother Donald and many close friends. Shirley grew up on the family farm in New Berlin, was a feisty woman and lived independently to the age of 90. She worked as a realtor, serving families across Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, an X-Ray Technician at Waukesha Memorial Hospital or as she called it, the hospital on the hill. She was an avid dog lover, took great pride in her home in Waukesha and lived in the same neighborhood for over 50 years. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to those who cared for her to include the caregivers at Mission Creek in Waukesha, the staff at Waukesha Memorial, the Waukesha Fire Department, and all the staff at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc whom made her final days peaceful.

Shirley will be laid to rest at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Muskego.  The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM.
