Rochelle “Ro” Jeannette Angel-Cannon entered eternal life on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 42.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her loving father, Roger J. Angel, and her youngest daughter, Khaleesi Annabelle Rose. She loved them both and missed them deeply. Her family finds great comfort in knowing that Rochelle is now resting in her father’s arms, with her daughter Khaleesi safely in hers—together under the trees, watching the deer.
Rochelle is survived by her mother, Decorah Angel; her son, Jimmy T. Cannon Jr.; and her twin daughters, Angel and Kiyone Bass. She was deeply grateful to be the sister of Decorah Franke (husband, Cory) and Mario Barbuto (partner, Nichole). She was also a proud aunt to Shaunie Meulmans (husband, Nick), Jacob Franke (wife, Katherine), and Thomas Franke. Rochelle held a special place in her heart for her current partner, Nikki. She also leaves behind many beloved great-nephews, a great-niece, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of friends.
Rochelle was previously married to Jimmy T. Cannon Sr. and cherished special memories of her extended family in Arkansas, especially her sister-in-law Janetta Cross-Parchman (husband, Charles). She shared a co-parenting bond with her twin daughters’ father, Theo Bass. She also dearly treasured her visits to Upper Michigan to see her Uncle Mark and her late Gramma Angel.
Affectionately known as “Ro-Ro,” she was truly unique and one of a kind. Artistic, creative, and passionate, she put her heart and soul into everything she did. She possessed her own distinct style, was incredibly meticulous, and always found a clever, “MacGyver” way of solving problems. Before walking out the door, her outfits absolutely had to match, from her bandana down to her shoes.
Ro-Ro had her own wonderful quirks and hobbies, from collecting coins to the unique way she “Ro-ified” everything—especially her food, her clothes, and her art. She even carried dryer sheets everywhere to keep everything beautifully scented. Adventurous and absolutely fearless, she loved exploring and climbing through the woods while camping. When it was time to relax, she loved playing card games like Spades and Tunk.
Above all, Rochelle possessed an immense amount of love, loyalty, and pure spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private service was held for the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Those wishing to support the family may share a favorite memory or offer an act of kindness in Rochelle’s name.
