Richard James Mayberry was born January 10, 1933 to Richard and Gertrude L. Mayberry.  Affectionately known by family and friends as Curly, he received his formal education from the Milwaukee Public Schools  and served  in the Army from 1953 – 1955 receiving an honorable discharge.

Richard enjoyed his job at Harnischfeger Corporation for 40 years as a welder, working with his hands building and designing things,  and  making people laugh, as he was the life of the party.

Preceded in death by his father Richard,  brother Arthur  and mother Gertrude L.

He leaves those to cherish his memory, sisters Bernice Mayberry-Godley, Kathy D. Mayberry,  son Richard M. Mayberry, grandson Jaiden Peterson, sister-in-law Ceola Mayberry, ex-wife Dorothy Sims-Mayberry, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

We would like to thank the VA Hospital, Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee County and Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center for their love and care of our brother, Richard Mayberry.

A special thanks to Al and Sharon De Windt Jr. for Richard’s Spiritual Health.
