Nicholas (Nick) J. Zakszewski (Sexton)

Found his peace on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the age of 41. Beloved father of Kailey L . Zakszewski. Loving grandfather of Stella R. Ashley. Beloved son of Ross and Patricia Sexton. Dearest brother of Michael J. Zakszewski and Kristina Sexton. Loving uncle to Aliyah and Brandon Torre. Further loved by many other family and friends.

Memorial Service to be determined by family. They will notify everyone with a time and place.

Nick’s greatest joy in life aside from having his daughter and granddaughter was scrapping with his dad, brother and niece Aliyah. The happiest moment he has ever experienced was when he won tickets to a Brewers game from the scrapyard. He always gave Cindy a hard time while weighing the metals. He enjoyed cooking with his mom always mixing up some concoction up, but it always tasted amazing.  Grilling pork chops and chicken in the summer, with his niece and nephew Aliyah and Brandon, while they swam in the pool. One time he jumped in the pool himself. He loved to go to Pick’ n Save to shop but instead of shopping he spent most of his time talking and joking with the security guard Jose. Nick brought so much joy to so many people, even on your worst days. He use to drive around with his sister and just jam out to the music screaming the song at the top of his lungs. Nick was a very smart person and he absolutely enjoyed spending time with his family and friends even if he was in a bad mood. He had a very kind heart. No matter who it was, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone he knew. Nick was very competitive when it came to playing the card game Uno. He always had to win no matter who he was playing with. He would sit sit in his recliner watching Lizard Lick Towing. No one really knew what his obsession was with the show, we just knew after hearing about every single episode we thought we should have been a part of the show.

We would love to give a huge thank you to the nurses on the 5th floor at St. Luke’s Hospital, for taking care of all of his needs. The most important part of his journey to heaven was his nurse Molly in the intensive care unit. She was the most caring and thoughtful nurse we have ever met. In his last minutes of life, he asked Molly to hop on the airplane with him to take a ride.

“We love you Nick! You are now at peace, watch over us every day” – mom, dad, brother Mike, sister Kris, and Aliyah and Brandon

“I love you dad please watch over me and Stella everyday”- Stinker
