Nettie Walton (nee Donald) affectionately known to family as “Momma” was a caring mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. God peacefully took her into his abundant arms on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at age 103.
Nettie was born to Florence and Ed Donald on December 23, 1918, in Tallulah, LA where she was raised and schooled at Madison Parish Training School, under her principal Mr. Hayes. There in Tallulah Nettie met and married her husband, Robert L. Walton Sr., and to their union 4 children were born, Levon Cubbie (Mildred), Deloris J. Walton, Robert L. Walton, Jr., and doting youngest daughter Peggy A. (Walton) Crape.
Visitation will be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church 905 West North Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53216, on Monday, May 16, 2022, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by A Celebration of Life service at 12:00 PM. Flowers may be sent to 905 West North Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53216 for the day of the service. Memorials appreciated to Friendship Baptist Church, 905 West North Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53216, c/o the Nettie Walton Scholarship Fund.
