Levy Johnson Jr., 76, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2026. His presence was a source of strength, love, and quiet dedication to those who knew him best.
Born on October 20, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Levy was the beloved son of Levy Johnson Sr. and Rose Nell Johnson. He later made his home in Milwaukee, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and resilience.
Levy was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church on March 18, 1956.
Levy was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kiondra Sloan (Ramon) and Antione Bohanon, his beloved grandchildren: Antione Jr., Antioniea, Alexis, Alexandria, Helena, Ramon Jr., Samir, Aniya, and Egypt, and his great-granddaughter Ailey. He is also survived by his sister, Delores Durant, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Nell Johnson and Levy Johnson Sr.; his sisters, Shirley Williams and Golden Harris Miller; and his brother, Harry Lee Harris.
He dedicated many years of his life working as an automobile detailer, a craft he took great pride in. Levy had a special gift for bringing things back to life—whether it was a car or something in need of repair. His strong work ethic and determination were evident in everything he did.
Levy found simple joys in life. He enjoyed watching basketball, listening to music, and spending time in his own way doing what he loved most—fixing things and making them better. He will be remembered for his persistence, his willingness to help, and his quiet but meaningful presence.
Though he may no longer be with us physically, Levy’s love, lessons, and spirit will continue to live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to resilience, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
