June Cora Hansen, born May 16, 1931 in Strum, WI to William and Cora Black. Passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the young age of 89.  Cherished and devoted mom of Linda (Jon) Henegar, Diane Stelpflug, Terri (Al) Athey and Allan (Pat) Keene. Proud and loving grandma of Michelle (Ken) Anderson, Jeff (Andi) Stelpflug, Matthew (Avery) Henegar, Eric (Rosie) Stelpflug, Elizabeth Athey, Christopher Keene and Joe Athey. Precious great-grandma of Noah, Jonah, Joy Henegar, Brooke, Brandon, Catie Stelpflug and Emma Athey. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Maurice and son-in-law John Stelpflug.  She is also survived by 2 special nieces Shelley Lussmyer and Kristie Dilkey. Further loved by other relatives and friends.

June worked as a Cake Decorator at Grebe’s Bakery for 37 years.  She had the honor of decorating her 3 daughter’s wedding cakes.

She loved to listen to the birds singing and always tried to figure out what they were saying to each other. Her favorite bird was the Cardinal. She loved to listen to music from the 40’s, her favorite crooner was Dean Martin. Each Saturday night at 6:00 we would get comfy in our chairs to watch Larry (Lawrence Welk).

Mom could look very stern to some, but when she smiled her blue eyes would sparkle and her whole face would light up.

June was very proud of her four children. She knew they were hard working and very caring. She was proud of the fact that all her children have been happily married for more than 36 years.

To her children throughout the years June was many things to each one. She was a traveling companion, a shopping buddy, a confidant and even a baseball catcher to name a few.  She enjoyed being a K-9 grandma to Jack.

After 47 years of living in her St. Francis home, she had the pleasure of living with her daughter and son-in -law.  She loved spending her days sitting and feeling the warmth of the sun. The last years of her life she was able to spend extra time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She always remarked how she loved what little tidbits they would come out with and how smart they were.  She loved their hugs and kisses. Until we meet again mom, you are truly loved and will be missed.
