Gloria Jean Schmid

(Pflughoeft) joined her parents Fredrick and Martha Pflughoeft on January 11, 2018 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Norman, beloved mother of Suzi and Scott, beloved grandmother of Allie, Steve, Melissa, Katie and Bryan and great grandmother Maurita, Lucas, Araya, and Dominic, beloved sister of Fred W. And Richard (Jean).

She worked over 20 years at Milwaukee School of Engineering where she was the executive secretary for the Mechanical Engineering department. During that time she made many friends, pursued her interests in becoming a Master Gardener, canning organic vegetables from her large garden and quilting.

Gloria’s dreams included making quilts for the homeless veterans and feeding the hungry. Her faith in Christ was strong and her heart filled with Love for her family, friends and strangers wherever she may have met them. She loved playing Rummy with her grandchildren, reading, planning her garden and laughing always.

Gloria, Mom, you will live forever in our lives, our hearts and our stories.
