Doug Fintak passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the age of 72.
He was the loving father of Kevin (Cyndi) Fintak and Tina (Bradford) Congdon, and the proud papa of Lily, Sawyer, and Sierra. He is also survived by his ex-wife and friend, Christine Fintak; his mother-in-law, Esther Karleigh; his sister, Christine Young; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Felice Fintak; his brother, Paul Fintak;and many other family members and friends.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 14, 1954, Doug graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1972. He worked as a food processor at Ph.Orth Co. in Oak Creek for many years before becoming a school bus driver for Riteway Bus Service. He especially enjoyed driving for the Oak Creek School District.
Doug loved spending time outdoors, especially camping, fishing, boating, and hunting in Hancock, Wisconsin. During summer trips, he could be found fishing with his son from the boat early in the morning, then water-skiing and tubing with his daughter in the afternoon. He also enjoyed playing games—especially Cribbage, Rummy, Rummikub, and Sequence—and any game his grandchildren wanted to play.
Doug was a caring, loving man who was always ready to help anyone in need. He was known for his humor and could make everyone laugh. His humor and sass stayed with him to the very end.
Please join us to celebrate Doug’s life on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
