Devonia Stephany Hill (Mims) was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois on December 4th, 1964. Devonia attended Fenger High School where she excelled in academics. She graduated top of her class at the age of 16 in 1980.  She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her world. They were all she talked about.

Devonia had an amazing spirit and was inclusive of everyone from all walks of life. To be near her was to experience love in its purest form. A kind and giving spirit, giving you the very shirt off her back. Inspiring and motivational, always wanting the best for everyone. She enjoyed getting ready for the holidays, cooking a full course meal for everyone was one of her greatest joys. Gospel music was the focal point of her daily praise and worship. Spreading the hope of Jesus and inspiring everyone she loved. Such a big fan of Kevin Gates and his inspirational videos.

Devonia left a legacy of strength and love through her daughters. A legacy in which they are honored to pass on to their children. They will keep her alive in their hearts and minds. She will forever be remembered and missed tremendously.
