Denis S. Peters May 24, 1935– August 21, 2026
Entered into Eternal Life on August 26, 2026 at the age of 91. He was humorous, intelligent, athletic, fearless, loved creating and appreciating art, and was always there for his daughters. Denis left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on May 24, 1935. Denis was known for his ability to sell anything, tell jokes, and keep his home, cars, and yard immaculate. He found great joy in reading, downhill skiing, biking, Rollerblading and skating, sailing, listening to music, and throwing parties.
He also loved driving sports cars and cooking gourmet foods. Denis especially loved Halloween, decorating their home with scary decorations he created, dressing up as Dracula with Gail by his side as an old woman. Children came from far to get treats and enjoy their display.
Denis was proud about being in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army and enjoyed talking about it. Denis was also an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church, being a Eucharisitic minister and helping with the annual church festival.
Denis is survived by his three children Susan (Alan) Schoenbeck, Sandra (Steven) Zach ,and Sheryl (Timothy) Hall, his four grandchildren Peter (Nicole) McHugh, Matthew (Laura) McHugh, Ella Hall, and Camden Zach, and his two great grandchildren Lincoln and Taytum McHugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail (Olson) Peters.
Denis will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
