Took his last” Field Trip” on December 18, 2017.  He was 88 years old. Dan was born August 1, 1929 in the family home in Milwaukee.

Loving brother to Geraldine ( the late Butch Bliesner) and Robert ( the late Nancy) Zielinski. Proud uncle to nephews, nieces, great- nephews and great- nieces. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary (Waldoch) Zielinski

Dan served in the Korean War (6th ARMD. DIV. CCA ENG. 9th BN. CO. D. 4th PLTN.) using the GI bill to start  his education at the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Dan would share his childhood memories playing baseball and basketball with the neighborhood kids.  He played baseball for the University of Wisconsin. He graduated with 3 degrees, one of them a Doctorate Degree.  He retired from teaching at the University of Waukesha as a Geography Professor.  Dan traveled the whole United States and The World. He took many trips with his students,  traveling the summer months, taking many pictures and slides of his travels.

Dan had a witty sense of humor, was kind and generous.  He cheered on all his Wisconsin teams Brewers, Packers, Bucks and Badgers.  He loved going to  movies, betting on  horses and doing crossword puzzles.

Per Dan’s wishes he was cremated. A Memorial Service to be held at a future date, final resting place St Adalbert Cemetery.
