Chester passed away July 5, 2026, at the age of 95, in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on April 4, 1931 in Carthage, Texas to parents Leroy and Leola Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William Leroy Tyler and Billy Ray Tyler, his sister Bertha Bremond Hartfield, his son Paul Raven Tyler, and his grandsons Mark and Brandon Tyler.
He is survived by his wife Lois G. Tyler, the mother of his children Mary Ashley, his daughters Mary L. (Roy) Luckett, Lorraine Truss, Bonnie (John) Hirt, his sons Chester Tyler, Jr., Billy Roy (Sylvia) Tyler and Marvin Tyler, grandchildren Steven Darnell Chavis, Billy Tyler, Jr, Kevin Lamar Truss, Christian Alexander Luckett, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Chester was a kind and generous man who worked hard to care for his family. He had a passion for fishing, gardening, hosting family dinners, and enjoyed nature and all of God’s creatures.
Chester may be gone but will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
