Mrs. Betty Joyce Hannah-Carr was born to the union of Leatha Mae Clark and James Nelson Carr on May 12, 1957, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Betty went home to see the Lord on August 15, 2025.
In her early life, Betty worked at Tyron chicken as a food process worker for a few years. Later, she was united in holy matrimony with Arron Hannah and had a beautiful son named Rogerick Aaron Hannah (oldest son). After the sudden death of her husband, Betty then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and dedicated her life of being a homemaker and created three more wonderful children Steven Carr (son), Teena Carr (oldest daughter), and Mary Carr (youngest daughter).
During her time on earth, Betty taught her children the values of respect, hard work, and bringing kindness to people despite the circumstances. Betty was a home body and enjoyed watching her TV shows, horror movies, and spending time with her children. Betty also enjoyed going out to dinner, shopping sprees, and spending quality time with her nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Betty Joyce Hannah was preceded in death by her parents Leatha Mae Clark-Carr, James Nelson Carr, her husband Arron Hannah, one sister; Ella Mae Ashford, two brothers; Lacy D, and Will Jr. Carr, one son-in-law Lawance Edward Henderson. Also preceded in death are six other grandchildren.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters; Teena Carr, Mary Carr, two sons; Steven Carr, Rogerick Hannah of Milwaukee Wisconsin; two sisters; Diane Carr of Milwaukee Wisconsin; Katie Mae (Murphy) Martin of Kosciusko, Mississippi; three brothers; Willie Lee Carr of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Michael Carr of Settle, Washington; James Edward Carr of Kosciusko, Mississippi, and a total of nine grandchildren of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM.
