Delbert (Del) Clark Treichler peacefully passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 97. Del left this world to be with the love of his life and best friend, Margie, who passed away this past February.
Proud dad of Pamela Warner (Chris), Tracey Treichler and Laurie Sciano (Randy). Loving brother of Carol Borque (Gerry) and dear brother-in-law of Dorcas Conte (Bruce). Dearest grandpa of Christopher, Lindsey, Ashley, Sara, Casey and Hailey. Proud great-grandpa of Laela, Lucas, Kaden, Ella, Anna, Faith and Alyza. Del was a hero both in WWII and in his family life. In 1943 at the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Navy, but was then “drafted” to serve in the US Marine Corps, 5th Marine Division. In 1945, Del spent 28 days on Iwo Jima as a forward observer. “An experience that changed my life for the rest of my time.”
The family would like to thank the Milwaukee VA Hospital nurses and staff, especially on the 9th floor, for their compassionate care.
