Condolences for Mary C. Puls

Mary and I had been in the same sheepshead card club from the days when I first met her at Kozy in 1975. Besides cards we had good times at the Fireside, The King and I in Chicago (with Yul Brynner), gambling trips and our times up north at my house in Redgranite. Lively discussions abound during those years regarding politics, morals and religion. Through the years Mary became more and dear to me. The last couple years, she became more resolved and content. I had so many good visits with her at her apartment, taking pictures along and discussing old times. The last time at her apartment we were going through hers and my wedding pictures. It was a time I will never. Her wonderful daughters brought her out to our house for lunch when she was up to it. We have many cardinals in our yard and Mary was always fascinated with them. WE shared a very special friendship Mary. How honored I was to read your eulogy at your Friendships like ours are a precious gift from God. Thank you Jesus for the love of my dear friend!

Mary’s smile lit up a room! She was a valued and cherished member of her Kozy’s sheepshead club for over 40 years. Jenny so loved her. Me too! I’m sad for your loss.
