Died peacefully on October 6, 2016, age 89. Beloved husband of the late Margaret for 65 years. They are together again for eternity. Loving father of Gerry (Bonnie) of Bonita Springs, Florida, and Jim (Cynda) of Milwaukee. Dear grandfather of Leah (Darren) Phillips and great-grandfather of Zoe Phillips all of Rescue, CA. After retirement Jim and Marge were residents of Presque Isle, Wisconsin. Jim was past Secretary of the Presque Isle Lions Club, member of the American Legion Post, served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and played the bugle at burials. For many years Jim and Marge chaired the Presque Isle, Lions Club Children’s Christmas party. Jim volunteered at the Northwoods Food Pantry in Boulder Junction and was a member of the Lions Club there. Jim and Marge had resided in Boulder Junction for 15 years then moved to a memory care facility in Milwaukee. The family would like to express our gratitude to the caring staff at St. Anne’s Salvatorian for the wonderful care to both Jim and Marge. A special “thank you” to Heartland Hospice in Milwaukee for their compassionate care. Memorials appreciated to St. Anne’s. Private Family services held.
