Christine Crooks was born April 17, 1947, in Waterloo, IA, to Johnnie Crooks and Eunice Steen Davis Daniels. The family moved to Canton, MS when Christine was a young child. Christine received her formal education at Canton High School and attended Jackson State University for two years with a focus on Education. In 1970 Christine relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Christine found great joy in raising her two sons, Undraye and James. Throughout her remarkable 50-year career, she exemplified dedication and perseverance across diverse roles—from nurturing children in daycare services to working in plastic manufacturing, championing workers’ rights as a union representative, and providing supporting roles as an administrative assistant.
She cherished moments spent with her family, and she loved cooking for holidays and special occasions. Christine was famous in the family for her Cornbread Dressing and Banana Pudding. Christine was very creative and enjoyed creating event programs, flyers and personalized cards for family and friends.
Christine always had a deep faith in God, and as a teenager she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. In 1997 she joined Holy Cathedral COGIC under the leadership of Bishop C.H. McClelland.
On December 28, 2025, at 11:58 p.m. Christine departed this life after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Crooks, and Eunice Steen Davis Daniels: sister, Juline Davis, and brothers, Eddie Davis and Wilbert Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons Undraye (Loretta) Howard, of Waukesha, WI and James (Debbie) Howard, of Kansas, MO; one brother Henderson Daniels Jr. (Dorothy) of Chicago, IL, two sisters Jeanette Daniels of Jackson MS, and Cora Daniels of Madison, MS; six grandchildren, Bianca, Taylor, Heather, British, Julian and Tevin. Twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, many friends, and the entire Holy Cathedral COGIC family.
Visitation will be held at Holy Cathedral Church of God in Christ, 2677 N. 40th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday, January 23, 2026 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Funeral Service at 11:00 AM
