Nilsa Violeta Rivera

Nilsa V. Rivera (Wela) was born on January 12, 1949, in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico and was called home to the Lord on the morning of July 23, 2019, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin surrounded by many loved ones.  Preceded in death by her Father Ignacio Rivera and Mother Anicacia Rivera. Beloved mother to Jeannette Garcia and Carmen “Lissette” (Nelson) Espada. She is survived by siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Nilsa was loved by many and had a heart of gold. She always was there for anyone in need with open arms, ears, and plate of food. Never any judgment, just love and advice for all. She will be forever known as Wela to many and all that knew her.
