Condolences for Michael Raymond Rodenkirch

Michael came from a large biological family. But in the last 10 years or so he had another important family - the Wilson Park Senior Center family. My 1st encounter with Michael was when I was working the volunteer desk fro senior dining. He was going to begin working at the sign in desk too. I volunteered 1 day week. Michael came every day. Quiet , gentle, "always a God bless you good bye". He had to watch what he ate. but fruit was great. I brought him strawberries that I picked; or apples. With Covid in March of 2020 - inside dining ended (still drive up yet). But Michael would brave all types of weather to use his walker to cross busy 27th St. to get to Wilson - To volunteer every day to pack the take out lunches for the senior driving up to get their meals. But Wilson was not only where he volunteered. He got involved in the choir, played dart ball, just enjoyed being at the Wilson Park Senior Center. He touched the hearts of MANY at Wilson. I'm so glad our paths had crossed. One special guy. With many memories. Thank you Michael.
