Condolences for Don Earl Evans

I first met officer Don Evans when I was a student at MSOE in the early 90’s. He was a public safety officer on campus. Officer Evans got to know many of the students on campus that he protected—including me. He took the time to get to know me and was interested in how my studies were going. We had many memorable conversations about life, work, and family. I later got to know his daughter Donna and through her I could see how much officer Evans valued his family. Officer Evans was well respected by those he served and protected and lived with high integrity, which I saw from the love and respect his daughter Donna had for him. Officer Don Evans will be missed. I am truly honored and blessed to have known him. My prayers and condolences go out to the Evans family.

I worked with Don for years at MSOE. He always served MSOE with dignity and diligence. He was a wise, caring individual who I would always be glad to see and talk with a while. Heavy on my heart. God bless.

While I have never met Mr. Evans I know from his daughter Donna what a wonderful and kind man and father he was. The world lost a bright flame as did his family. I send all the best to the Evans family in this time of loss.

Don Evans, who I affectingly called Dad, was instrumental in hiring me @ MSOE back in 1/2/2001. Within those nearly 20 years, I ate many meals with him, Debe, Donna; worked on his company, becomes very good friends which eventually he & Debe "adopted" me as their son. I enjoyed Dad, especially having meals with him and family. He will be greatly miss but he will always be in my heart. I truly loved him.

Lets all of us have one on Don and know that he is smiling down on us. We will see him when we see him. May God let his soul rest in peace
