He found his peace when the good Lord above called him to his Eternal Home, while enjoying his favorite “Last Supper” with family on Christmas day at the young age of 85 years.
He is survived by his cherished and loving sons and daughter Jeffrey, Jackie, Tom and Teresa, former spouse LaVerne (Johnson) and Darlene (McClain), grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Born to the late Marcella (Myers). He will be missed by other relatives. He was a friend to many and loved by all who have met him with his charm, funny jokingly personality and baby faced dimpled smile which will greatly be missed.
Celebration of Thomas’s life will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI. 53005 on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Visitation 1:00 PM-2:00 PM. Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Private entombment follows Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Tom was a hard working blue colored worker most of his life who believed “you need to pull up your own bootstraps and carry on forward”. During the last years working as a forklift operator at Miller Brewing Company, he liked to attend auctions and sell “treasures” at flea markets as a hobby which then grew into his personal collecting military memorabilia, coins and items he would see on TV while relaxing in his favorite recliner and spent many years loving to record video tapings, listening to Jazz, Blues, Country Music and Rock and Roll. He was a very caring person who was always willing to help others while being very protective of the people he knew.
Tom spent the last 11 years residing in Waukesha at the nursing home and rehabilitation center where he made many friends celebrating his Second Life “Gift” suffering from health issues after passing for the first time in life, as the good Lord above decided it was not his turn to be called home at that time.
He was very proud of his family and would smile with dancing eyes as he would discuss them with everyone when he could. Tom suffered from Diabetes, Dementia and Alzheimer’s towards the end but he would still remember stories from years gone by and cherished them.
We as a family ask you not to mourn the loss of Dear Thomas, but to celebrate his life, as that is what he would want from everyone to stay happy and not sad. He will be greatly forever missed and the memories we were able to share with him will always be cherished.
“Rest now dad, grandpa, great grandpa and be in peace knowing that we all love you and thank you !
