Ressel, Susan Kay (nee Hutto) entered into Eternal Life on April 26, 2019, at the age of 72.
Left behind are two daughters, who struggled to write this because she was an incredible mom and they knew they couldn’t do her justice: Lisa (Mark) Barbian and Kim (Chuck) Wilson. These two gave her the greatest joys of her life. No, not her sons-in-law, her grandchildren Nicole, Evan, Josh, and Shane.
The siblings who will continue her story are Dennis (Bev), David, Lynn (Keith) Nehring, Al (Lori), Jeri, Jeff (Prudy), and sisters-in-law Judy and Hope. She is further survived by many other family and friends.
Welcoming her to heaven with open arms are her parents, Elmore and Verna, and her siblings Gene, Marianne (Jim) Gosnell, Ronnie (Helen), and Jimmy.
Susie was born on November 18, 1946. She attended Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, where she was known as “Kansas”. If anyone can tell us why, we’d really appreciate it. After graduating in 1964, she traveled the world, spending time in Germany, Scotland, Canada, many different US states, Disney World, and the cottage in Beaver Dam. She settled down in the Milwaukee area to raise her children. Fast forward several years, she retired from Aramark Refreshment Services, previously known as Schellgell Food Service. She lived out the rest of her life surrounded by everyone she loved.
She liked State Fair, the Reeseville Corn Roast, Red Lobster, puzzles, Jeopardy, and the Airplane! and Naked Gun movies. She has never been in a Turkish prison nor did she like movies about gladiators. She has, however, seen a grown man naked. She was somewhat of a history buff and loved to visit Washington, D.C. The highlight of one of these trips was watching the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. On another trip, she was almost arrested by Homeland Security when asking about the Pentagon on walkie-talkies with Nicole. She might tell you that she spoke Jive and was only hung on a hook once…once. She loved showing off her “major award”, the leg lamp. We think it must be Italian. In her younger years, she delighted in forcing her young children to sit with her and watch old movies, such as The House of Seven Gables. She loved the Brewers and the Packers, and even still has her Brett Favre jersey in her closet. She enjoyed spending time with family but loved being a grandma the most.
In conclusion, Sue would not want you to call her “Shirley”, would compliment you on your “nice beaver”, and would want you to know that “we’re all counting on you.”
She was a proud supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society via donations to the LaDorka’s team for the MS Challenge Walk.

I didn't get to see Susie all that often, but when the cousins all got together (and we know who we are!) it was always a good time. Adding her to the "G--------" heavenly reunion list.
