Robert “Bob” D. Brumfield, 74, of Twin Lakes, passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with brain cancer on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Aurora Zilber House Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI., surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, Ill., on February 4, 1944, the son of the late Frank and Maryanna (Douglas) Brumfield. He attended school in Harvard, Ill., and was a graduate of Harvard High School. On September 28, 1963, he married Daisy F. Adams in Harvard, Ill.; they had three children together and later divorced.  A second marriage and divorce to Dolores Olson of Twin Lakes, WI.  Bob worked as a pressman at Huhtamaki in Pleasant Prairie, Wi., and then in De Soto, Ks., where he later retired. In retirement, Bob enjoyed working part-time as a “lunch lady” for a Kansas City high school for several years,  spending time with friends at the local tavern, Richey’s Club in Kansas City, Mo. where he was lovingly referred to as “Chicago Bob” and watching Kansas City sports teams and the Chicago Bears.  Throughout his life he loved music and played in several bands including The Fuzz, Country Gents and Bob and Becky.  He was the light and laughter at every party, and made the lives of people he touched richer. He had recently relocated from Kansas City, Mo. to Twin Lakes, WI., to be near family.

Bob will always be remembered by his three children, Victoria “Vicki” Brumfield of Delavan, WI, Brent (Christine) Brumfield of Geneva, WI, and Daisy (Brian) Genz of Kenosha; his grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Stockman, Kristi (Michael) Reed, Kelsey (Matt) Seaver, Kyrie Staab, Kaleb Staab, Joshua Brumfield, Tyler Brumfield, Noah Brumfield, Anna Genz, Morgan Genz; his brothers, Larry (Pat) Brumfield of Harlingen, Texas and Mike Brumfield of Lake Geneva; his first wife Daisy Synowiec, his second wife Dolores Olson and her children Gerald Olson, Michael Olson, Stephen Olson and Cerene Olson, as well her granddaughters Marissa, Makenna, Kristen and Katie, and many nieces, nephews, and very special friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Schnulle.  A celebration honoring Bob’s life will be held on Sunday, July 15, at Lions Park in Harvard, Illinois, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
