Beloved wife of Mark for 30 years, Rhonda (59) passed away at home as she wished after a long battle with cancer early Sunday morning, July 25, 2021. Mother to Nick and Christina, sister to Ron, grandmother to Brooke and Jayden, she will also be missed by extensive family and many friends, as well as her fur baby Patches. Rhonda received an Honorable Discharge from the Army, earned an Associate’s Degree through the University of Phoenix, and enjoyed volunteering at school, being part of the PTA, and leading Cub Scouts.
She loved arts and crafts, decorating, cooking, bingo at Potawatomi, and caring for family and friends. She was a “Second Mom” to many young friends. Rhonda was known for her sass and “telling you like it is”, not sugar-coating things so you always knew where you stood with her. She had a great sense of humor and was always ready to give you the shirt off her back. Rhonda was able to check off the box on her bucket list by visiting a wolf reserve and communing with her “spirit animal”. She spent hours on end watching Vet programs on TV and could tell you how the doc was going to proceed.
Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Aurora and Vitas for their care and support the past several years. Our family appreciates all that you have done for her.
Visitation will be at the Krause Funeral Home located at 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. A celebration of life service will begin at 6:30 PM with a light reception to follow.
