Regina L. Henderson Ghannam was born October 14, 1953, to the union of Ernest and Daisy L. Henderson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the fourth oldest of ten siblings. Regina received her formal education from St. Galls School and graduated from Rufus King High School.

After graduation, Regina attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where she obtained her Barber and Cosmetology License, as well as her Instructor’s License. She taught at several beauty colleges in the greater Los Angeles area. Thereafter, Regina began her greatest life as a successful entrepreneur. She owned and managed salons in Milwaukee, as well as Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Oftentimes working alone and for long hours, accommodating the requests of clients, including close associates and immediate family members. Whether it was a routine appointment or a special occasion, she was always there with scissors in hand. Her passion and love as a hairdresser was providing consultations to clients on maintaining healthy hair. Regina was a reputable beautician in the Milwaukee Community for almost 40 years.

For the past 12 years, she fought her best fight. Through it all she remained unapologetically Regina. Regina L. Henderson Ghannam departed this life on February 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Daisy L. Henderson; sisters, Diana M. Pitts and Evelyn K. Henderson; brothers, Michael L. Henderson, Ernest P. Henderson, and Willie K. Henderson.She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tondalaya (James) B. Hammock of Jacksonville, FL; son Lavardus D. Wright; grandsons, Malcolm Wilson, Donovan Lang; Laquantae Wright, Dominick Burnley, Ke’murier Love; brother, Duane E. Henderson; sisters, Claudette Cochran, Carla L. Henderson and Cynthia F. Stewart; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Gathering to be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on February 21, 2020, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  Memorial Service to follow at 7:15 PM.
