Norlene Catherine Fries (nee Werba) Called to Eternal Life on Thursday, February 21, 2019, age 83, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She loved cheering on her Cubs, traveling with family from East Coast to West Coast, never turning down an adventure, working at Kohl’s for 14 years and especially spending time with family and friends.

She was a devoted mother to her four children, Debbie Kurtz, Bob (Robin), Linda (Dave) Kurz, and Danny (Trish).  Treasured sister of Jerry (Ruth) Werba. Loving grandmother of Ryan, Amanda (Joe), Daniel, Jason, and Jessica (Josh).  Adoring nana of Mackenzie, Jayce, Marissa, and Landon. She will be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She had a special place in her heart for all the grand dogs and deeply touched the lives of every person she met.

Please join us in celebrating her life at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 800 Marquette Avenue, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53172 on Saturday March 2, 2019 10:30 AM-11:30 AM.  Memorial Mass 11:30 AM-12:30 PM.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My family lived in the same court as the Fries family. Every night she would call her kids in for dinner. She started with the oldest and finished with the youngest. By the time she got to Danny, she was out of breath. I’m smiling at this memory. You have so many wonderful memories of your Mom. I hope Those memories help you through this difficult time.
