Marilyn Lovell Wilson-Smith was born on August 18, 1953 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the union of Lonnie E. Wilson and Gracie Mae Adair-Wilson.

Marilyn received her formal education at Bibb Graves High School in Clay County, Alabama.  She continued her education at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she became a Medical Transcriptionist and Bridal Consultant.

Marilyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age at New Hope C.M.E. Church in Alabama.  After relocating to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the 1970’s, she united with St. Mark A.M.E. Church where she was a member of several choirs, Sunday Church School, a Stewardess Sister and participated in many other church activities.

Marilyn was united in Holy Matrimony with Robert Lee Smith Jr. on February 25, 1972 in Clay County, Alabama. To this union, three children were born.

Marilyn was one of many talents; she loved singing and listening to music, sewing, decorating for different events, crafting and cooking.  She especially enjoyed bringing the best out in people. She was very pleasant and had an addictive smile.

Marilyn Lovell Wilson-Smith departed life on Sept. 7th, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her Mother, Gracie Mae Adair-Wilson, her Father, Lonnie E. Wilson, and her Brother, James F. Wilson.

SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORY:

Her husband, Robert L. Smith Jr., her sons Tabarius (Sidnee) Smith of Mequon, Wisconsin, Cornell (Jeni) Smith of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and her daughter, Shannon (Chris) Oglesby of

San Diego, CA.

Seven Grandchildren, Braylin Smith, Xavier Smith and Myles Smith of Mequon, Wisconsin, Amari Smith, Aden Smith and Sofia Smith of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Alena Oglesby of San Diego, CA.

Her Siblings: Pearlie McNeail of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Verna A. Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, Arthur (Mattie) Wilson, Barbara Jean Wilson of Clay County, Alabama, William Wilson of Coosa County, Alabama, and Charles Wilson of Riverside, California.

Many loving Nieces, Nephews Great-Nieces and Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation, Wednesday September 14 from 5:00-7:00 pm and Thursday, September 15 from 12:00-1:00 pm, with a service to follow at 1:00 pm at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, with Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
