Found peace on April 22, 2018, age 64. Linda was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 11, 1954, to the late Henry and Janie Porter Lawrence (Walters).  Preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and her mother of the heart, Louise Ashley “LA”.

Loving sister of Barbara Jean Lawrence (Penny) of Philadelphia and Sheila (Larry) Ashley. Special nana of Kyle (Sarah) Ashley,  Kori (Kwadwo Owusu-Ofori) Ashley, David Ashley , Mesiyah Ashley and Mia Evans.  Dear aunt of Beverly Levy, Renee Gordon-Johnson, Stacey (Herb) Young, Shelley (Rick) Hill and Derrick (Patricia) Gordon. Special sister-in-law of Clarence Phillips.

She will be missed by the Ashley and Strozier families who welcomed her into their hearts and homes, card playing bunch, special friends Richard Brown, Yvette Meeks and Mae Gray and host of relatives from Philadelphia.

Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Gordon Park Pavilion, 2828 North Humboldt Boulevard, Milwaukee, Friday, June 1, 2018, 5:00 – 8:00 PM

The family would like to thank Linda’s nurses, Anna and Barb of SICU Jonathan, John, Chad and Linda of MICU,  Doctors Ramalingam, Wilson and their medical team of professionals at Froedtert who took care of Linda from admission to transition and Eunice of environmental services who ensured that her room was clean and sanitary.
