(nee Osowski) Found peace on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at age 53. Daughter of the late Joan Rauwald and Edwin Osowski. Beloved Sister of Timothy (Katherine) Dennis, Daniel (Candace) Dennis, Thomas (Christine) Dennis, Jean Shefky (best friend Scott Homann) and the late Susan Schaefer.

Further loved by nieces and nephews who she adored, other relatives and many friends.

Gathering will be held at St. Bernadette Parish, 8200 W. Denver Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53223 on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 5:30 PM in the “Gathering Area” (rear of church). A Memorial Mass to honor her life at 6:30 PM.

A special “thank you” to her dedicated Social Worker Lisa Regner, the Caregivers and Residents/Friends at Angel Love Joy Group Home and the compassionate ICU nurses at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee.

Laura was a caring and compassionate CNA and Caregiver. She treated all her patients as though they were her own family members and friends. Her loving gentle attention she gave to others was recognized by many; and as a result, put her in demand.

Laura’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends sharing a meal or sweet treat while reminiscing, laughing and telling stories.

Rest now Laura, we love you!

LAURA ANN SMYTHE

Sweet dreams our little sister

On your way to Heaven’s Glory

We will truly miss you

But promise to share your story

Mischievous, sweet and sassy

Kind to those in need

“Sharing” was her calling card

“Caring” was her Creed

Short of stature but large in giving

Spunky and sentimental

As a CNA and caregiver

She was loving and so gentle

Simple pleasures made her happy

Known for the sweet tooth that she had

Treats she never ate alone

For others should not be sad

Her love of God and Blessed Mother

Gave her comfort and some peace

She held a rosary in her hand

Her worries and fears decreased

Be happy now with Sue and Mom

Your heart now on the mend

Until we join you once again

Our love to you we send
