Joseph Fabian Chavez Jr. (Jojo) at age 35, passed unexpectedly in his sleep on February 19th, 2025. Although his death was sudden, Jojo lived every day to its fullest. Jojo enjoyed music, art, and adventure. Jojo also preached the word of God to anyone who would listen. He believed in Jesus Christ and his faith was his passion. Jojo found comfort in the word of God and believed that he would one day meet him. On February 19th, 2025, Jojo became one of God’s angels and was called to heaven. Jojo was survived by many family members and friends who will truly miss him.
At this time, the family will not be hosting funeral services but will be encouraging others to reach out and share memories of Jojo. Jojo was not big on large gatherings but valued his family and close friends. No matter where Jojo was in life he always reached out to his siblings and parent to make sure they were okay. Jojo showed compassion and kindness to all despite his circumstances and in his memory, the family would like to encourage others to do the same.
Lastly the family would like to share a last moment that they had with Jojo. Jojo went out to lunch with his family, and he recited a bible verse that he held dear to his heart. Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Jojo sought out forgiveness in god and believed in forgiving others. At moments like this, Jojo would want others to be forgiving and show kindness in his memory.
