Joseph Anthony Stoll Jr., also known to his friends and family as “Skip,” or “Skippy,” passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, age 80.

Loving and closest companion for 13 years of Marilee Fuss, who cared for him like an angel throughout Joe’s three-year struggle with dementia, which ultimately claimed his life.  Dearest father of Joan Van den Berge (Frank) living in Milwaukee, Joe Stoll III (Kellie) living in Denver, Patrick Stoll  (Beannie) living in Pittsburgh, and Robert Stoll (Amber) living on Guam.  Proud grandfather of Daniel, Alex, Jaden, Kailynn, Noah, Lillian, Fermina and Emilia. Kind brother of  Richard (Beatrice), Steve (Laura), and Marilyn all living in Wisconsin, and Jerry (Bridget), living in California.

Joseph grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married Gladys Camacho in 1964.  They moved to Guam in 1971.  Joe and Gladys raised their children in the Catholic Church on Guam for 30 years until her unexpected passing in 1999.  Joe loved softball, playing in an informal league on Guam with his many friends in the 70’s and 80’s.  He was  an avid runner and competed in lots of running events on Guam including the Guam Marathon and the Honolulu Marathon.

Joe’s indefatigable optimism highlighted his whole life.  He was a strong moral compass for his children.  He never complained, passed along an ironclad work ethic, and was tremendously generous to everyone around him.  Joes last decade of life was spent in a beautiful house on a lake near Milwaukee with Marilee; for whom his children are forever grateful.

A very special thank you to the compassionate and caring staff at Azura Memory Care at Mierow Farm Brookfield, and St. Croix Hospice.

The family has tentatively scheduled a memorial service in June in Milwaukee, with a funeral service on Guam in January.
