Entered into Heaven on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, age 68. Beloved husband of Kristine A. Hutchinson (nee Hubert) for 42 years. John is survived by his eldest daughter Danita (Keith) Briggs (nee Hutchinson), Rachael M. Hutchinson and was the father figure to Bruce C. Henning who he raised since he was 7 years old.   Brother of Yolanda Nash, Jill (the late Terry) Miner, James (Renee) Hutchins, Greata (Otto) Hutchinson, and Diane (George) Kordus. Grandfather and  great-grandfather to many. Further loved by many other relatives and friends.

He went to MBTI for computer programming. He was so good at his job and enjoyed his position at JCPenney for many years. After JCPenney he was an independent computer consultant until retirement. John enjoyed bowling with his two friends, George Kalyvas (deceased) and George Krug. The three couples Hutchinsons, Kalyvas and Krugs got together playing cards. He was such a “great” cook and we all loved his delicious dishes. His son (Bruce) says he was the best cook he ever knew.  A quiet man with a big heart.  He spoiled his wife early on in their marriage with becoming the cook of the family.  John had so many interests and hobbies, including listening to jazz.  He went to Canada with some  friends (twice) and  saw a bear and survived.  He was NOT a hunter and/or fisherman but he had those two experiences to share with his family.  He enjoyed watching all his cooking shows and then would share some of those dishes with his family.  He knew so many ways to cook our Thanksgiving meal and made the best turkey any of us ever had.  We all so looked forward to that meal especially.  He loved working with wood and taking pictures. We as a family loved playing cards, especially Uno.  He enjoyed watching Star Trek with his daughter Rachael.  We had animals throughout our marriage but he especially loved his cat “Max” and he was often seen sleeping on John’s lap while John watched his favorite programs.  Throughout his hospitalizations the chaplain at Community Memorial made a special comment that John stated that he was not afraid to die, which is very assuring to his family left behind.
