Died peacefully on February 23, 2018, age 84, at Franciscan Villa Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Phil in 2016. Loving Mother of Phil Jr. (Kathy), Deborah and Andy (Lisa). Devoted grandma of 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Born in Brooklyn New York and although she left the Big Apple years ago, Joan was a “New Yorker” to the core. A NYC cab driver in the 50’s, she could be tough as nails – once calling a a NYC cop “pickle puss”. She also possessed a great gentleness and patience, working tirelessly with her children and later, grandchildren on school and summer activities. Joan was also a lifelong New York Yankees fan, who never missed a game and whose eyes would light up if you referred to them as the “Bronx Bombers”.
Inurnment at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
